How to distinguish between EPE board and foam board?
The two types of foamed boards commonly used in China's transportation industry and construction industry are foam boards and pearl cotton sheets. The pearl wool sheets currently on the market have gradually replaced foam sheets. This is because the performance of pearl wool sheets is more excellent than foam sheets. Let's take a look at it together!

First, different materials and processes

Foam sheet is made of expandable polystyrene, and pearl cotton sheet is made of polyethylene foam cotton;
Foam board is made by heating and foaming the mold, and pearl cotton board is a board produced by physical foaming, so the two boards are different in fundamental properties and materials.

Second, the volume is different

Because the traditional foam board is made of dense foam particles, the volume of the foam board depends entirely on the amount of its foam material; but the EPE board is a board made by absorbing gas and foaming, which contains Tens of thousands of bubbles are therefore larger than traditional foam materials.
Third, the packaging effect is different

Traditional foam board has a low ability to absorb impact load, and it may be crushed into debris even under strong impact; however, the pearl cotton board has integrity and will not be damaged by toughness when it encounters large impact. Compared with the traditional foam board, the EPE board has lower conductivity, so it is not easy to react to the static electricity generated in the friction, so it will not affect the electronic components in the packaging of high-quality electronic products.
