What is PE sheet? What are the properties of PE board?
What is PE sheet? What are the properties of PE board? The English name of PE board is high density polyphylene, and the Chinese name is polyethylene board. PE sheet is a kind of thermoplastic resin with high crystallinity and non polarity. The appearance of HDPE is milky white and translucent to a certain extent.
PE board has excellent resistance to most of the chemicals used in life and industry. Some kinds of chemicals can produce chemical corrosion, such as corrosive oxidants (concentrated nitric acid), aromatic hydrocarbons (xylene) and halogenated hydrocarbons (carbon tetrachloride). The polymer is non hygroscopic and has good water vapor resistance, and can be used for packaging purposes. HDPE has good electrical properties, especially high dielectric strength of insulation, which makes it suitable for wires and cables. Medium to high molecular weight grades have excellent impact resistance, even at room temperature and even at - 40F low temperature. The unique characteristics of various grades of HDPE are the proper combination of four basic variables: density, molecular weight, molecular weight distribution and additives. Different catalysts are used to produce customized polymers with special properties. These variables combine to produce HDPE grades for different purposes; achieve the best balance in performance. It has good chemical stability and can resist the erosion of most acids, alkalis, organic solutions and hot water. Good electrical insulation.
The melting point of HDPE board is about 130 ℃, and the relative density is 0.941 ~ 0.960. It has good heat and cold resistance, good chemical stability, high rigidity and toughness, and good mechanical strength. The dielectric property and environmental stress cracking resistance are also good. The melting temperature is 220-260c. For materials with larger molecules, the melting temperature range is recommended to be between 200 and 250C.
PE plate has the characteristics of high toughness, good tensile and wear resistance. It is widely used in chemical industry, clothing, packaging, food and other fields. It can be filled, flame retardant, modified, embossed and sanded. LDPE (high pressure low density polyethylene) is soft, low mechanical strength, low melting point, suitable for making film and cable insulation layer. HDPE (low pressure and high density polyethylene) has high rigidity, high mechanical strength and high melting point. Suitable for making hollow products, injection molding products, etc., widely used for making ice court wall panel. Thickness: 1-150 mm color: natural color, white, blue, yellow, gray, black, green, etc.
