Application of LLDPE film and LDPE film
As we all know, LLDPE and LDPE are thermoplastic resins produced by high-pressure polymerization of ethylene. LLDPE has good melt fluidity and is suitable for new film preparation processes. Therefore, LLDPE is widely used in film products. Similarly, due to its good film-forming properties, LDPE is often blown into films. So what is the difference between LDPE film and LLDPE film in use? Most of the LDPE films we use today are low-density polyethylene films formed by the polymerization of ethylene and blow-molded. The production cost of blow-molded LDPE films is low, and the texture is soft and translucent. Because of its good heat sealability, water resistance and moisture resistance, food packaging films are often used. According to statistics, LDPE film accounts for about 40% of the total amount of plastic packaging film. The barrier to oxygen is poor, so in demanding food packaging, LDPE films are often used as liners, and low-density polyethylene films are also used as agricultural films, but the amount of agricultural films used is relatively low. Compared with LDPE film, LLDPE film is more suitable for agricultural film. In terms of cost, no matter how thin LLDPE film is, it will not affect its properties, so the cost advantage is greater. In addition, LLDPE film has excellent tensile strength, toughness, tear strength and puncture resistance, and meets the necessary properties of agricultural film. Finally, LLDPE film has high resistance to environmental stress cracking and low temperature embrittlement temperature. As everyone knows, most agricultural films are exposed to the environment and the temperature in winter is low. Film products must also ensure the temperature inside the film. In general, LLDPE is very suitable for agricultural film products at this stage. LLDPE agricultural film consumption accounts for about 70% of the total agricultural film consumption. It can be seen that LLDPE film accounts for the proportion of agricultural film products.
