What is the fire rating range of PC covers for LED tubes?
What is the fire rating range of PC covers for LED tubes?Because the PC cover of the LED is a plastic material, its fire protection standard is based on: flammability UL94 rating. Its fire rating range is as follows:
The flame retardant grade of plastic increases from HB, V-2, V-1 to V-0:
HB: The lowest flame retardant level in the UL94 standard. It is required that for samples 3 to 13 mm thick, the burning speed is less than 40 mm per minute; for samples less than 3 mm thick, the burning speed is less than 70 mm per minute; or it is extinguished before the 100 mm mark.
V-2: The flame was extinguished within 60 seconds after performing two 10-second burning tests on the sample. There may be burning.
V-1: The flame was extinguished within 60 seconds after performing two 10-second burning tests on the sample. No burning matter can fall.
V-0: The flame was extinguished within 30 seconds after performing two 10-second burning tests on the sample. No burning matter can fall.
The following are the specific requirements for each level:
94HB
A: For samples with a thickness between 0.120 "to 0.500", the span of 1.5 "per minute and greater than 3.0" cannot be exceeded, or
B: For samples with a thickness of 0.120 ", the span cannot exceed 3.0", or
C: When the flame does not hit the 4.0 "mark, the sample spontaneously ignites.
94V-0
A: No samples still burned for more than 10 seconds after the test flame was removed.
B: For each set of 5 samples, after 10 ignitions, the total burning time with flames exceeds 50 seconds
C: No sample has been burned to the fixture
D: Without any samples, the burning and melting droplets dripped down and ignited the cotton at 12 "below.
E: Without any sample, after removing the test flame for the second time, it continued to burn red for more than 30 seconds.
94V-1 and 94V-2
No samples still burned for more than 30 seconds after the test flame was removed.
For each set of 5 samples, after 10 ignitions, the total burning time with flames exceeds 250 seconds
No sample burned all the way to the fixture (including flame burning and red burning)
Without any samples, the burning melted droplets dripped and ignited the cotton 12 "below.
Without any sample, after removing the test flame for the second time, it continued to burn red for more than 60 seconds.
UL94-5VA or UL94-5VB
A: None of the samples continued to burn (including flame burning and red burning) for more than 60 seconds after the fifth ignition.
B: No sample is burned and melted droplets drip down to ignite the cotton below.
