Storage and transportation of PVC and CPVC pipesThermoplastic tubes can be stored indoors or outside the yard. When stored outdoors, the pipeline should be protected from direct sunlight, and the pipeline should be properly supported during storage to prevent sagging or bending. The pipeline should be stored on the level ground of the job site in the packaging provided by the factory. Care must be taken to avoid compression, damage and deformation. When stacking palletized packages, care must be taken to ensure that the weight of the upper pallet does not deform the pipes in the lower unit (palletized tubes can be stacked on the wood). The stacking height of the packed pipes should not exceed 2.5 meters. Care must be taken to ensure the instability caused by the height of the railing, otherwise it may cause collapse, damage to the pipeline, and personal injury.
Thermoplastic pipes must not be stored in confined areas where the temperature rises and is close to heat sources (such as heaters, boilers, steam lines, engine exhausts, etc.). Exposure to high temperatures can cause product deformation. When stored outdoors, the thermoplastic tube must be covered with an opaque material. The cover layer provides sufficient air circulation above and around the pipes as needed to prevent excessive heat absorption, which can cause discoloration and deformation of the product. Stored PVC pipe products should not be exposed to temperatures above 40 °. Stored CPVC piping products should not be exposed to temperatures above 50 °.
CPVC pipeline products are tough and corrosion-resistant, avoid falling and bearing external loads during transportation. Thermoplastics can be damaged by wear and gouging. The pipeline cannot be dragged to the ground. To avoid the effects of falling from a height and rough dragging, in cold weather, you should check the product for scratches, cracks or cuts caused by improper handling and storage. After discovery, these parts must be cut off and discarded.
